
Luis Gonzalez
Luis Gonzalez is the President of Paragon Group of South Florida (“Paragon Group”) based in Coral Gables, Florida. With over 33 years of professional experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Gonzalez formed Paragon Group in 2012 in order to capitalize on opportunities in the multi-family industry.
In 1997, Mr. Gonzalez along with two partners founded The Carlisle Group. The company, headquartered in Coconut Grove, Florida. Carlisle consisted of three companies, a development firm, a general contracting firm and a commercial property management firm. Mr. Gonzalez, as well as being a shareholder in all three, was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the consolidated group of companies. Within a two year period, Carlisle had established itself as one of the premier Affordable housing developer’s in the state of Florida.
Mr. Gonzalez oversaw all aspects of the operations including, acquisitions, financing, legal, development, construction and management. By 2000, the company employed 40 individuals in the development and construction arm and over 110 employees in the management company. During his seven year tenure as C.O.O., Carlisle completed 25 apartment communities, representing nearly 4,400 rental units in 10 different counties. The total project cost for the developments exceeded $300,000,000.
Mr. Gonzalez formed Centrust Development Group (“Centrust”) in 2004 in order to capitalize on opportunities presented in the market place. As President of Centrust, Gonzalez focused on acquiring and entitling land. From 2004 to 2008, gross revenues from land sales exceeded $25 million dollars. In 2010, Centrust returned to its development roots, completing an affordable housing community in the Florida Keys.
Mr. Gonzalez, graduated with honors from the University of Miami, is a Certified Public Accountant who started his career with Deloitte Haskins and Sells, then a member of the elite group known as the Big-8. Mr. Gonzalez has been chosen to sit on various Housing boards, including the Miami-Dade County Housing Finance Authority and the City of Miami Loan Advisory Board.
