Nancy Zaretsky
Nancy Zaretsky is the Inclusion Specialist for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation (GMJF) and former chair of the Constituency Board of the University Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD). She is the founding Chair of the Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking for the GMJF and the immediate past Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council, which serves as the education and advocacy arm of the GMJF. She is the webmaster for the Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance which serves as a one stop network that links individuals with disabilities, and their families, to resources, services, support groups, workshops and clinics and recreational programs.
Ms. Zaretsky is a fellow with the Mailman Center, University of Miami Medical School’s Emerging Leadership Training Program where she also co teaches a unit on Family Centered Care as part of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program which provides long-term, graduate level interdisciplinary training.
She holds an MA in International Studies from Florida International University and a dual degree in Political Science and Professional Writing from Southampton College. She is also a proud graduate of the Florence Melton Mini Adult School in Jewish education.
But most importantly she is the mother to three grown children whose interests focus on art, film and politics. One of her children is on the spectrum. She is originally from Great Neck, New York, she has lived in Miami for more than 30 years.
