
Cameron Tovin
Cameron Tovin is a first-year medical student in the MD/MPH program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Medical Anthropology from the University of Miami in 2024. She is a current LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) Trainee at the Mailman Center for Child Development where she helps lead leadership and advocacy courses for teens and young adults with disabilities. She is the Event Coordinator for Miller School of Medicine’s Peds Partners, a program for medical students to engage with chronically ill pediatric patients. Cameron is also leading an independent research project to understand the healthcare transition process for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Growing up with a sibling with autism, she was surrounded by the disability community. Her experiences inspired her to pursue a career working with this population. Cameron has been part of the Casa Familia Young Professional Board since 2022.
