Nicole Miller earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Florida State University. Her passion for working with people with exceptionalities began in 2006 at the Alper JCC, where she spent the next eight years in the special needs and after-school care programs.

Nicole has since held several prominent roles, including serving as the Education Chair for the State of Florida’s Juvenile Justice Association. In this capacity, she was recognized as a proactive leader in effectively addressing issues within Florida’s Juvenile Justice system.

Most recently, Nicole was the Director of Education for a nonprofit organization, where she oversaw youth in residential programs across seven alternative school sites. Her responsibilities included providing strategic direction for agency growth, curriculum development, and enhancing service delivery models. Additionally, she has experience as a Principal, ESE and Program Specialist, and Special Education Teacher. Throughout her career, Nicole has focused on ensuring educational equity and inclusivity for all people.

Currently Nicole is thrilled having returned to her roots at the Alper JCC, where she serves as the Senior Youth and Special Needs Programming Director, providing top-quality programming and inclusive opportunities for all.
