Other Ways to Give
If you are at least 70.5 years old, you can transfer up to $105,000 directly to Casa Famillia from an IRA without paying income tax on the withdrawal – possibly helping to meet your required minimum distribution. A qualified charitable distribution is not taxed, nor is it included in your taxable income.
Make a bigger impact by donating long-term appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to Casa Familia. Compared with donating cash or selling your appreciated securities and contributing the after-tax proceeds, you may be able to automatically increase your gift and your tax deduction.
