Jennifer Durocher, Ph.D.
Jennifer Durocher, Ph.D. is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology and Director of CARD. She also serves as one of the Faculty Supervisors of UM’s Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic (ASAC). She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Douglass College at Rutgers University, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Miami, where she obtained both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in children and families. She completed her clinical internship at JFK Partners at the University of Colorado Health Science Center.
Dr. Durocher has worked with individuals with autism and their families since 1992.
Dr. Durocher possesses extensive experience in ASD-related research, treatment, and education. Her research interests include improving the early detection of ASD and understanding how individual differences in ASD can be used to design and evaluate more effective interventions. She sits on several advisory boards, including the Coral Gables Advisory Board on Disabilities, the Mailman Center for Child Development Steering Committee, and the Health Equity & Special Needs Subcommittee of the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Children’s Commission. Dr. Durocher has published and presented locally, nationally and internationally on topics related to assessment and intervention in autism. In addition, she has received several community services awards, including the CARD Founder’s Award (2010), the Tropical Nights Community Leadership Award (2017), and the In the Company of Women Award in the Education & Research category.
