Douglas Gerrard
Douglas Gerrard has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, both as a principal investor and as an advisor helping ultra-high-net worth individuals and families. Gerrard designs, implements and monitors complex life insurance, investment strategies and financial planning aimed at mitigating estate and income tax and maximizing investment return. He helps optimize pre-immigration planning, asset-protection structures and global family multi-jurisdiction wealth transfer objectives. Gerrard began his career as a trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and went on to be the co-founder of Harrison Trading Group, a proprietary market-making firm with operations at many of the U.S. Exchanges. He has used his experience from the trading floor to shape his risk and investment management philosophies. He focuses on delivering effective Beta and Alpha as part of the strategies he executes for his clients. He holds Series 7 and 66 registration, as well as domestic and international insurance licenses. He graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Economics from The University of Illinois.
