Robert Cambo

After a 10-year career with Commercial Developer Codina Group, where Mr. Cambo successfully completed over 2,000,000 square feet of commercial lease transactions, Robert founded Cambo Realty, Inc., a commercial real estate brokerage company focused on Commercial, Retail and Office development. The young company advised one of their customers, the Brighton Group on the development of Blue Lagoon Business Park, a 400,000 square foot business park project that was later sold to AMB Institutional Realty. In 1999 Cambo Realty merged its marketing operations with Alliance Commercial Real Estate Group adding offices in Dallas and Chicago. Alliance Development was incorporated to provide development services to land owners, passive investors and creating Joint Ventures such as the development of Costa Corporate Centre and Doral Commerce Park , which were sold for over $50,000,000.

In 2004 Mr. Cambo was approached by Charter Schools USA President, Jonathan Hage, to find suitable facilities for his growing Charter Schools in the South Florida Market. From 2004 to 2007 Mr. Cambo developed two charter schools; the Patriot School for the City of Palm Bay serving 1500 students, grades k through 8 and North Broward Academy in Fort Lauderdale serving 800 students grade k through 8. Since 2008, Mr. Cambo has dedicated 100% of his practice to charter schools and the expansion of their facilities to serve more students in various counties. To date, Alliance has developed 31 charter schools in 16 counties in Florida serving 24,000 students and their families. Mr. Cambo also provided the start- up funding for Ascend Academy, a Broward school for at- risk youths in 2015.

Since then over 300 students who were told they would never finish high school, graduated.  Having struggled finding a suitable school for his son Michael, diagnosed with severe Autism, Mr. Cambo together with 2 other parents affected by Autism and a devoted educator, co-founded the South Florida Autism Charter School in 2008. Since its founding, Mr. Cambo continues to donate his time as Board Vice Chairman. Today, the school serves 300 Autistic students K through 22 entirely tuition free.
