Sandra Perkins Borger

The youngest of five children, Sandra was born and raised in Miami. As a native Floridian, Sandra has always taken pride in her deep south Florida roots along with her strong sense of community. In 2001, Sandra moved her family to Broward County to obtain speech, occupational and behavior therapy services for one of her daughters who was diagnosed with autism at age 2. At that time, she began her career as a Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager at Boies, Schiller Flexner LLP in Fort Lauderdale where she worked for over 20 years.

Early on, Sandra overcame many struggles to secure the most basic, yet critical, programs for her daughter – while paving the way for other parents. Over the years, she became a strong advocate to ensure her daughter’s educational needs were met and collaborated with other parents to do the same. Sandra also learned the importance of building relationships and maintaining partnerships. In addition, working within the legal field provided Sandra with great insight to better understand disability law and related rights.

With the support of her husband, in 2022, Sandra founded Perkins Paralegal Support Services, LLC. Working as a freelance litigation paralegal has provided her with the opportunity to work with many new clients as well as the flexibility to join Casa Familia as a advisory board member.
